The 'latest' collection of the 'interesting' things that happen in Lincolnshire from the earlier part of the year.

I thought it was about time to add the 2009 photos of non-events at the Nene Valley Railway!

A visit to Norfolk in April included Bressingham to get my 'Railway' fix. A Lots changed since the last time I'd visited in about 1986!

During the early 1980's I enjoyed taking photos that much that my Dad had to revert to Black & White! Locations Include Spalding, London Kings X & Euston, Retford, Grantham, Doncaster, Peterborough & Dunford West (Woodhead line!)

NVR's Spring Diesel Gala included visiting locos from Barrow Hill & Butterley brought by West Coast Railways 47826 which unfortunately didn't get approval to run at the gala.

This collection of BR Blue during the early 1980's include locations of Doncaster, Lincoln, Derby Works, Spalding, Barnetby, Brocklesby, March, Norwich, Rugby & Old Oak Common.
Including Loco Classes 03, 27, 31, 37, 40 (OK 40106 in green!), 43, 45, 47, 56, 81 & DMU Classes 105, 114, 120, 124 & the APT-P (OK not in Blue!) These phots have been scanned directly from the negatives, thanks to my Dad.

At the end of 2009 there was several steam special trains, but with little time to spare I headed for Greatford Crossing which is in Lincolnshire! With plenty of normal activity from East Coast, Hull Trains, Grand Central, Freightliner, EWS

Mainly around Peterborough, especially a busy hour when waiting for the Diesels from the NVR gala at Marholm!

Another round up of Lincolnshire Mainline during 2009. Events include Route learners to Skegness including a class 67 (that shouldn't), Engineers, Class 56's & 47's on Boston Steel's, The annual RHTT, 31's in Spalding & Peakirk, Lincoln Specials with 60019 "BITTERN" & Class 67's with the VSOE and of course the endless colourful units!
Plus a few surprises!!!
